The Regional eBook & Audiobook Download System http://reads.lib.overdrive.com allows users to access eBooks and audio books in a matter of minutes. One can browse or search this site for downloadable materials. Available books include fiction and non-fiction from a large range of categories. This service is free, however a Fentress County Library card is needed.
Through TEL www.tntel.tnsos.org residents have access to 27 databases using the state library, academic institutions, public libraries, and schools. Simply choose your county and library on the map. TEL has access to full-text coverage of the state's leading newspapers. It allows the user to find different points of views on current issues through the EBSCO's Points of View Reference Center and much more.
Tennessee residents have free access to Heritage Quest www.heritagequestonline.com. Users can search U.S. Census, Family and Local History books, PERSI, Freedman's Bank records, Revolutionary War information, and the U.S. Serial Set. The username is 3PFF6J6BHH and the password is welcome.
Children who are residents of Fentress County are eligible to recieve free their very own book each month. Every month a new, carefully selected book will be mailed in your child's name directly to your home until he/she turns five years old. Registration forms are located at the library to be filled out by parent or guardian.
